Ludacris Feels He Is The Best Rapper

Via Yoraps.com – ATL rapper Ludacris has been taking a queue from Lil’ Wayne, claiming to be the best rapper alive in a recently interview.
Luda heralded in his self-proclaimed rap superiority with the Chicago Tribune while speaking on his relationship with boxer Floyd Mayweather and bouts with the acting bug.
“Rap is real competitive just the same way boxing is,” he said. “We always talk about taking other rappers out. That being said, I feel like I’m the best rapper. I wanted to get the best boxer in the game [for my last album.] That’s why it’s called “Undisputed.’ …It’s always cool to play something totally unexpected and out of the norm. Those are the type of roles I go for. Anything that stretches the limitations… I’m sure I won’t be rapping when I’m 50 years-old.”
In addition to working on his upcoming album, Ludaversal, the rapper has also been putting the finishing touches on a joint album with Shawnna called Battle Of The Sexes.
Ludacris Signs With CAA

Congrats to Luda. He has just signed a 360 deal with Creative Artist Agency. They will represent his interest in all aspects of his career. This is a great look for the Hustle and Flow/Crash movie star, who has sold more than fifteen million albums. For those who are not familiar with CAA, just imagine if Ari Gold was representing you. Once again Luda has shown himself to be a smart business man. You will be seeing him more in the big screen I am sure. He already has deals lined up with AT&T, Puma, and Pepsi. He is launching a TAG fragrance with Procter & Gamble, and he creating a cognac called Conjure with Birkedal Hartmann.

Did Rakim Write Will Smith’s Summertime?

The net has been buzzing with old/new news. Rakim apparently ghost wrote Summertime for Will Smith. “Here it is a groove, slightly transformed. Just a bit of the break from the norm.” From the opening line it has the signature Rakim flow and wordplay. Jazzy Jeff responded to these rumors via his twitter. “Fyi…Rakim did not write Summertime…I love Rakim to death but that was 100% Big Willy Styles…”
Now a days we see ghost writing as common place in hip hop. Who ever thought Puff wrote a rhyme? As he said “Don’t worry if I write rhymes, I write checks”. Ludacris and T.I. have recently been identified as ghost writers for Dr. Dre. I mean who didn’t know Jay-Z wrote Still Dre? I can still hear B.I.G. spitting the reference track for Queen Bitch for Lil Kim . But back in the late eighties/early nineties to have another MC write your rhymes was taboo to say the least.
No one ever thought of Will Smith as a serious lyricist, but in our minds he always had Summertime.
