Kelis Got Broke Off
LOS ANGELES – A judge has ordered Nas to pay Kelis nearly $40,000 in monthly support for the near future, a day after the “Milkshake” singer gave birth to the divorcing couple’s baby boy.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Louis Meisinger issued the order at a Thursday hearing. Neither Nas, whose full name is Nasir Jones, nor Kelis, whose full name is Kelis Rogers, attended Thursday’s hearing.
Rogers will receive $30,471 in spousal support per month; the couple’s son will receive $9,027, according to the court records.
Rogers gave birth to the boy, named Knight, at a New York hospital Wednesday. The 29-year-old filed for divorce from the rapper in April. The couple was married in July 2003.

Kelis Is In Labor

TMZ has learned the singer is currently in labor, about to deliver a brand new baby boy. The two were scheduled to battle over expenses. She says he’s paid nothin claims he’s paid some. Nas’ lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, just told us Nas is in New York for the birth of the baby and he is now “rushing to the hospital to be with her.”
Update: Hip-Hop star Nas is currently celebrating the birth of his son “Knight”, although sources close to the rapper told AllHipHop.com that he was not allowed to witness the event.
NaS and Kelis Debate Dollars and Sense
NaS and Kelis are back at it. TMZ reports Kelis wants 20 Large. NaS say 5G’s is reasonable for a newborn. I have to agree. I run my whole house on 5G’s.
Nas fired back in legal papers, “I did not receive even half that amount”… claiming it’s more like $4 mil. Nas claims his income is declining, and he’s only pulling in $147,165 a month. As for what he spends … $71,371.96 a month, which includes $10,000 a month in clothing/hair/toiletries/personal effects. Kelis, who is about to give birth to their child, claims Nas hasn’t paid a penny for child or spousal support since he left her. Nas, who says he wants to be “fully involved” in the parenting of their child, claims he’s agreed to pay $350 for a stroller, $450 for a baby sling and $1,598 for two cribs. Nas thinks $5,000 a month is reasonable for child support since the kid will just be a newborn.
