NY Times Reports -Brown was due to be sentenced on Wednesday for assaulting the singer Rihanna, his onetime girlfriend, in February; Mr. Brown, 20, pleaded guilty to felony assault in June, and was expected to receive a sentence of five years probation and six months of community labor. But Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg said on Wednesday that she was delaying the sentencing to Aug. 27, to determine whether Mr. Brown could serve the community labor ? along the lines of removing graffiti or cleaning roads ? in his home state of Virginia.

Chris Brown will be officially sentenced today for his attack on Rihanna back in February. The pop star is expected to be sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of community labor to be served in Virginia. He will also complete a year of domestic violence classes, and pay fines. In exchange, a second felony charge of making criminal threats is expected to be dropped.
“If asked, we will tell the court that all that’s necessary is a level-one order: That Brown not annoy, molest or harass her,” Rihanna’s lawyer Donald Etra tells PEOPLE. “No stay-away order was ever requested by Rihanna, nor did she ever believe it was necessary.”

Necole Bitchie – Now, in more interesting news, Chris Brown is planning to give his first national television interview since the assault on Wednesday. According to Radar, he will be formally sentenced on that day and his team is hoping to snag an interview on Larry King Live immediately afterwards so that he can finally talk about the night he assaulted Rihanna. You may ask “Why Not Oprah?”. I heard she turned him down. “Why Larry King?“. Apparently, his team believes that he will allow Chris the opportunity to get his apology across without facing “brutal questioning”.

Rihanna Is Back To Work

Rihanna wants back in. After the Chris Brown fiasco that left the two pop stars’ careers in limbo, they both seem to be getting back to work. Chris Brown just released a song to the net called ABC. Now the word is Rihanna is back to work on her new techno driven album. Hopefully they both can move on and get back to enjoying life.
Rihanna has been doing more than strutting down red carpets this summer. She’s also been recording a new album. A source working on it says, “it will be the album to really give her an identity musically.” Rihanna’s solo project, “It’s very techno-based this time around,” says the source. “She’s not that far into her album yet, but it’s sounding great.”
Chris Brown On Oprah?

This comes from Media Take Out, so take it with a grain of salt. They claim Chris Brown is in talks to appear on Oprah. Personally I think it would be a huge error. Remember what she did to that author James Frey (Million Little Pieces) when he lied about his book. She tore him a new one and then later apologized. Chris don’t take the bait. Apologize and move on. But that is just my opinion.
Chris Brown Says Sorry

“Hi Im Chris Brown, Since February my attorney has advised me not to speak out, even though every since the incident I wanted to publicly express my deepest regret and accept full responsibility. Although, I will do some interviews and answer some questions in the future, I thought it would be best if you hear from me that I am sorry. I have tried to live my life in a way that would make those around me proud and until recently I think I was doing a pretty good job.
I wish I had the chance to live those few moments again, but unfortunately I can’t. I’m not gonna sit here and make any excuses! I take great pride in being able to exercise self-control and what I did was inexcuseable. I’m very sad and very ashamed about what I’ve done. My mother and my spiritual teachers have taught me way better than that.
I have told Rihanna countless times and I’m telling you today that I’m truly truly sorry and that I wasn’t able to handle the situation better. I’ve done alot time soul searching, and over the last several month’s I’ve talked to my minister and my mother..and I’ve spent alot of time trying to understand what happened and why. I’ve let a lot of people down and I realized that. No one is more disappointed in me than I am.
As many of you know, I grew up in a home where there was domestic violence, and I saw first-hand what uncontrolled rage can do. I’ve sought and I am continuing to seek help to insure that what occurred in February, can never happen again. And as I sit here today, I can tell you that I’ll do everything in my power to make sure that it never happens again. I promise that.
What I did is unacceptable, 100%. I can only ask and pray that you forgive me, please.
I hope that others learn from my mistake. I intend to live my life so I am truly worthy of the term role model. Thank you.”
