“I can definitely say for me, for furthering the negativity, I can definitely say I apologize,” Drake said in an interview. “I don’t know her personally to discredit her character. It’s not the right thing to do…It was basically [me] feeling trapped. I was courted by somebody and then they just axed everything. I was stuck. They disappeared. And I couldn’t find anybody to talk to about the situation. And then to meet again a year later and to have this person forget they ever met me and say that I should go meet at their office so we can talk about signing me. I was kind of in one of those moments like, for real? [But] everybody has those moments where things aren’t gonna go perfect…I was looking for an opportunity recently to apologize for how vicious I’ve been…Not to say I negate my feelings — I still feel strongly about it. But I’m a person that usually handles things with much more tact.”

I reported this earlier, but it is now floating around as a fact. We will see.
According to several sources on the left coast, Toronto native, and Hip-Hop?s second coming, Drake, who?s been used as tug toy between Atlantic Records, Universal Records, Interscope Records and Def Jam Records has allegedly inked a deal with Universal Records. From my understanding, Drake was set to announce his new found Hip-Hop residence some time soon, but I guess word got out a little premature and landed directly in my lap. Now, the lil birdie who threw me this tidbit got the information straight from the label, so you can kill the ?LowKey?s making up ish? commentary – ASAP. And if this doesn?t serve true, well someone up at Universal Records has a lot of explaining to do. (BET)

Drake To Announce His Label Within A Week
It has been reported that Drake is nearing the announcement of his new deal. We are looking forward this CD. I would like to see his talent maximized.

By contrast, the overwhelming majority of new artists sign financially restrictive ’360 deals’ that sap their touring and merchandise income and offer much more restrictive profit-sharing.

Coming in number one this week is the Black Eye Peas. The BEP’s sold 304,500 copies of their latest CD E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies).
Eminem lastest opus Relapse lapse sits at number three with 87,500 copies sold.
Mos Def latest effort Ecstastic moved a disapointing 39,000 units. Its a good CD that should have done better. It was released on Downtown Records which bare some of the brunt for the lackluster sales.
